Narcissus

In Greek mythology, Narcissus (Νάρκισσος) was a hunter who was renowned for his beauty. He was so beautiful, and yet exceptionally proud, in that he disdained those who loved and adored him.
Among those girls and boys that Narcissus rejected, was a nymph called Echo.
Heartbroken she asked Nemesis, the goddess of revenge, so make Narcissus love someone he can never have, so he will feel the pain she felt.
When Narcissus went to a pool and bended over to drink some water, he saw his beautiful reflection - which Nemesis made him fall deeply inlove with.
When he realized it was its own reflection, he became utterly distraught and realised there is no way to fulfill his love. He took his hunting knife and stabs himself through the heart.
As the blood drops fell to the ground. they spawned the first Narcissus flower.
